The young lyric – dramatic soprano, Sophie Bellamy is quickly taking the opera world by storm. A 2025 International Hans Gabor Belvedere Singing Competition finalist and a highly praised debut of the Countess with the Vienna Opera Festival, Le Nozze di Figaro, (July 2025), Sophie’s career is just taking off. 

Sophie’s regular work with the ensemble at Landestheater Linz brings another role debut as Glasha in Janáček’s Katya Kabanowa with performances from April – July 2026. Her previous work with the ensemble at the Landestheater Linz includes, La Zia, Madama Butterfly and Geisha 1 in Sidney Jone’s operetta The Geisha (Season 24/25).

Further performance highlight’s include Dido in Dido and Aeneas with the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland (2024) and Waltraute, Die Walküre with the Dramatic Voices Program Berlin (2023).
